PR Manager

About the role

This is a generalist PR role working closely with senior internal stakeholders and enterprise-wide affairs. The role is fluid in that there will be some longer-term projects, but much of the day-to-day work will be short-term and unanticipated and covering a range of lower and higher stakes matters. You’ll need to be mature, nimble and highly capable.

 

As our PR Manager, you’ll generate and manage both media and stakeholder communication. The media management responsibilities will be around 60% of the role, combine proactive and reactive media activity, and will be focused on traditional media channels such as print, radio and television.  Stakeholder communication involves some internal communication, but also communication with customers and partner organisations.

 

The objective of your role is also to drive favourable perceptions of our brand and to support the business plan.  You’ll also find yourself getting involved with…

 

  • Providing PR support across the business and directly handling media inquiries
  • Developing high quality creative concepts and supporting materials
  • Commissioning editorial and producing high quality writing in short timeframes
  • Managing senior stakeholders across the business the risks of external communication

 

About you

Being an accomplished writer across a broad range of topics, you are a clear thinker, articulate and someone who remains calm under pressure - your stakeholder management and communication skills are second to none! To really make sure you can hit the ground running, you’ll be not only passionate about what you do, you’ll also be tertiary qualified in PR or a related field.

 

With your extensive experience in corporate PR Management - working with all forms of media, and combined with an excellent understanding of the financial world, particularly personal finance topics, you’re ready to embark on this exciting 6-month opportunity to join a really cool team at ME.
