Network Planning
To determine what the network needs, plans and designs the future network to deliver on the transport strategy, system design and service planning.
Primary purpose of this role
Develop, participate in and oversee the initial risk assessments on Department of Transport properties for contamination risk, including the review and consolidation of existing information. Provide leading advice across the Department which supports its understanding of its risk's and options to address, as well as assisting in compliance with legislation. Oversee the review of existing and generation of additional guidance documentation with regards to contaminated land.
Key Requirements
- Provides reliable site contamination advice as necessary across the Department based on a high level of knowledge and capability.
- Effectively plan, organise and manage resources, to deliver an agreed scope of work, within agreed time, cost and quality expectations, to achieve desired outcomes.
- Makes decisions which have impact across the Department in situations where there is some, but not definitive management practices with regards to contaminated land.
- Effectively negotiate with and influence key internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful environmental and sustainable outcomes.
- Apply creative and advanced problem-solving skills to develop and modify procedures for editing new data for inclusion in core databases, and the acquiring and storing of data.
- Provide expert environment and sustainability advice to key stakeholders that will guide the decisions made by others. Coordinate and direct internal and expert advice to meet business needs.
