About the role

Reporting to the Regional CEO APAC, the Management Consultant is a senior management role which forms part of the DSI Underground APAC Management team. for this position is to support senior management to design programs, refine and improve DSI Underground’s customer strategies, operations excellence, and supply chain management to improve efficiencies. Work on projects that require thorough quantitative & qualitative analysis, research, client stakeholder engagement, and internal communication It also includes the review of systems & procedures in place and giving senior management recommendations for change across all areas of the business. Support management with the implementation of the approved recommendations.

 

Job tasks and responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities associated with this role will include, but are not limited to:

  • Review of work procedures to improve the efficient use of organisations' resources
  • Analyse and evaluate current systems and structures
  • Deliver objectives and strategies by bringing together diverse stakeholders within the organization to work effectively in partnership
  • Analyse the current state of processes and procedures, developing proposals and assisting and implementing approved recommendations to ensure the best use of resources
  • Conduct research, surveys and interviews and discussing organizational problems
  • Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to DSI’s business
  • Assess the company’s operations and provide assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management and control processes.
  • Investigate discrepancies, locate error sources from inventories and initiate actions
  • Determine internal audit scope and develop annual plans in liaison with RCEO and the Group Internal Auditor
  • Obtain, analyse and evaluate relevant finance and operational documentation, previous reports, data, flowcharts etc
  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity, legality and goal achievement
  • Prepare and recommend proposals to revise methods and procedures, alter work flows, redefine job functions and resolve organisational problems
  • Record and analyse organisations' work flow charts, records, reports, and manuals
  • Assist in implementing approved recommendations, issuing revised instructions and procedure manuals, and drafting other documentation
  • Facilitate workshops to develop strategies and achieve success in implementing new approaches
  • Develop commercial, strategic and competitor insights informed by financial and non-financial data and present meaningful recommendations to senior management
  • Project management for projects (project planning, tracking progress, reporting, monitoring completion)

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive management experience within manufacturing industry with a strong finance background. To be considered for this opportunity you will possess all the following experience and attributes:

  • Bachelor degree or higher in Accounting, Commerce/Business or similar;
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar, senior role within a similar industry may substitute for degree requirement
  • Full proficiency in English and German language (written and verbal)
  • Navision working knowledge
  • Must have knowledge of Risk Analysis, Organisational Methods and Structures, Business Management, Accountancy and Business Processes and Systems.
  • Highly effective communication skills across all levels including senior management and excellent organisational skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing inventory control and management systems
  • Microsoft Suite Working Knowledge
  • ERP systems working knowledge
  • Excellent and proven analytical skills
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality and compliance
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing supply chain and specifically effective inventory management
  • Proven track record reporting to senior executive team
