ABOUT THE POSITION

We are currently recruiting a highly motivated and energetic Sales Cadet to join our QLD sales team selling both our iconic and traditional Bickford's brands, as well as our new and innovative VOK products, in the Brisbane Metro area. The successful incumbent will be required to complete certificate III Business to Business Sales externally and long term manage a designated territory.

Undertaking training will give you the opportunity to become qualified and well versed in business sales. You will learn on the job and be responsible for managing, promoting, and selling beverage products in order to maximise our brands exposure, sales volumes and profits.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assisting with managing a client base of retail and on-premises customers
  • Sourcing new business
  • Executing National Strategy's, Business Plans and Promotional Programs  
  • Designing your own journey plan to cover the territory
  • Providing solutions to ensure the right product mix is sold into stores and outlets
  • Accurate record keeping and entering of data into company systems
  • Timely reporting and sales admin tasks as required

To succeed in this position, you will:

  • Be 18 years or older to handle, sell and promote the alcoholic beverage range
  • Have retail experience within the FMCG industry or Liquor industry in preferred.                   
  • Have an interest in developing your career in sales
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Possess outstanding organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Can communicate effectively
  • Be results orientated
  • Understand the importance of delivering quality customer service to clients whilst working to meet sales targets

To be considered for the position you must be able to commit to a 12-24 month training contract, completing Cert III in Business to Business Sales and be willing to work Monday to Friday, with some out of hours and weekend work. There is a potential career path at the Bickford's Group for the right individual.
