We provide critical project & sector-specific market intelligence to our clients' sales teams, along with a range of sales management tools to assist in identifying, tracking & closing sales opportunities.

 

What the role is about

This role is a full-time B2B Sales Position. We are looking for a motivated, energetic and commercially astute BDM to join our high performing Melbourne sales team & assist BCI in expanding market share across Australia.

 

You will proactively target a range of companies servicing the Building & Construction sector by cold calling relevant companies to create an opportunity to meet face to face with senior sales management. You will then use your consultative sales skills to understand the clients' existing business development strategies & internal sales processes in order to offer the appropriate BCI solution.  Previous experience in the recruitment industry or software solution sales would be advantageous, previous building & construction industry knowledge is not essential but advantageous.

You will need

  • Proven track record in generating new business & exceeding sales targets
  • Able to demonstrate effective cold calling & prospecting experience (essential)
  • Strong written/verbal communication & presentation skills & the ability to tailor your approach based on client needs
  • The ability to build rapport, gain trust & influence client thinking at Senior Management level
  • To be a confident negotiator & comfortable dealing with objections
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • To be honest & genuine in your dealings with clients
