Web Developer / Designer

My client is looking for a Digital Designer/Developer that will support the front-end design and development of a range of digital content for the members. The successful candidate will utilise interface design skills (Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects) and code HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery, Bootstrap, Data Analytics). They will also be familiar with using analytics along with UX principles and user feedback to continually improve online experiences.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the design, development and production of engaging digital content including interface design, website design, and the development of online educational resources
  • Maintaining existing online content and platforms
  • Providing ongoing support and training for developed educational resources and content
  • Providing user centered design recommendations for new and existing digital content
  • Ensuring web standards compliance at all times
  • Ensuring all digital content is mobile and tablet ready
  • Developing and manage projects within the Learning Management System
  • Developing project documentation to support design recommendations
  • Conducting ongoing research into design and technology trends

The successful candidate will have

  • A relevant degree or equivalent (design computing, web development, multimedia, eLearning)
  • Minimum 2 years' industry experience in designing and developing digital experiences
  • Advanced level experience with standard web technologies including CSS, HTML
  • Intermediate level experience with Javascript
  • Prior experience with standard web development processes such as storyboarding, user task flows and wireframes
  • Experience with LMS technology and/or CMS platforms (Wordpress)
  • Prior experience in web design, interface design and graphic design, including relevant applications such as Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop (or Adobe XD, InVision, Sketch, Figma etc)
  • Demonstrated understanding of usability, accessibility and web/mobile standards
  • High level oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal and consultation skills
