Mildura Base Public Hospital (MBPH) is currently seeking a number of experienced, positive and dynamic Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department on a Full Time or Part Time basis. Applicants must have recent extensive Emergency care experience.

About the Role:

Our Emergency Department triages more than 33,000 emergency attendees each year. 

The ED is open 24 hours per day, 365 days per year and is staffed by a dedicated team of professionals including Emergency Medicine Specialist Doctors, Critical Care trained Nurses, technical and clerical staff.

We are dedicated to providing Emergency care to the region across all ages.

About You:

As a registered Nurse, you will have AHPRA registration, a, possess extensive clinical skills and experience within the medical field (preferably 2 years clinical nursing experience. Have experience working in Emergency Department environment and ideally hold post graduate qualifications in Critical Care/Emergency or Management.  You will have the ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of the patient.  You must be available for a mixture of shifts, which will include weekdays, lates, nights, weekends and public holidays.

In addition, you will also have:

  • an understanding of scope of practice in line with relevant registration
  • knowledge of legislative requirements in relation to nursing practice
  • the ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
  • a focus on time management and great communication skills
