Web Designer / Developer

Our Front-End Developer is responsible for liaising between graphical designers and back-end developers to create engaging web projects.  You will have a strong sense of UX design and passion for web technologies to create user-friendly websites. You will work as part of our marketing team to maximise the growth of our brand and effectively communicate our positioning with the external market.

 

What will you do?

  • Lead development projects, from conception to delivery
  • Produce clean, efficient code based in specifications in CSS, HTML, Javascript / JQuery
  • Offer insights and recommendations on best use of technology and web services in the software development lifecycle
  • Maintain and improve website and associated projects
  • Optimise existing websites to improve speed and UX
  • Work with existing API’s to integrate functionality into front-end
  • Translate designs to prototypes and working projects
  • Gather and evaluate user feedback
  • Test code and ensure quality assurance
  • Key contact for internal customers regarding web usage and application
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders such as go to market strategists, creative team, and back-end developers to execute projects

 

Who do we want to apply?

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years experience in front end UX/UI web development
  • Experience in responsive design, source control, unit testing, continuous integration
  • Understanding of command line tools such as Node, Git, Grunt
  • Experience with front-end testing
  • The ability to quickly understand, analyse, and respond to briefs
  • The ability to communicate verbally and in copy to effectively present information and ideas
  • The ability to innovate and develop creative ways to solve problems
