The Opportunity

We have an exciting position vacant for a Housing Services Advisor who is able to deliver excellent customer service and who has a strong desire to help those in need of social housing.

Reporting to the Housing Services Team Leader; this position plays a critical role within the Client Services Hub to provide excellent customer service for each housing applicant. Some of the other critical areas of responsibility of this role include the coordination of vacancies and allocations,  reviewing rent, conduct initial assessments and planning services, providing reception relief, and undertaking other administrative duties as requested.

About You

  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Previous administrative / reception experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Great attention to detail
  • Well-developed written and oral communication and relationship management skills
  • Well-developed organisational skills including the ability to manage conflicting priorities  
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills

Desirable 

  • Experience in dealing with complex customer needs
  • Experience and knowledge of the social housing sector in Victoria
  • Experience with the Victorian Housing Register and HiiP
  • Knowledge of the income support system for people on very low incomes

  • Current Working with Children Check (VIC),

  • Current driver’s license and willingness to travel across Housing Choices’ sites as required
