We are currently seeking applications from local Northern Territory residents seeking an opportunity to learn blasting and operation of an explosive truck at our Nathan River Mining Project.

The role is 2 weeks on / 1 week off.

Reporting to the Shotfirer, you will be responsible for the below, with provided training in all activities:

• Safe operation of the Explosive MPU Truck 
• Assist the Shotfirer with priming, loading,  stemming,  tying in and firing the prepared blast 
• Safe handling, storage and handling of explosives
• Clean and tidy management of the magazines and vehicles
• Follow instructions of the Shotfirer.

Required:

• Must be NT local. Charter flight from Darwin to Roper Bar provided
• Demonstrated fitness for work in a challenging, hot environment
• Demonstrated enthusiasm to learn new skills and follow instructions
• A 'team player' attitude and strong work ethic
• Some previous truck driving experience is advantageous
• Current Australian 'HR' Licence
• Willingness to obtain a NT 'Dangerous Goods' Drivers License
• Provide a National Police Check
