We’re looking for a full time (38hrs) Bookings/Administration Assistant to join our team. While we’d love you to start yesterday, hiring the right person is important - and we'll wait until we find them.

  • Ability to drive a manual car
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a fast-paced/busy bookings office or call centre environment
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Amazing organisational skills
  • A love of technology (computers aren’t your enemy)
  • Understanding of or background in the tourism industry

The role

As Bookings/Administration Assistant you will be front line for our customers’ bookings and enquiries - this includes answering emails and phone calls, and very importantly - taking bookings with high attention to detail. 

You will also be providing support to our Sanctuary Manager, Director and the larger Bonorong team with a variety of tasks - this will include fun things like filing, data entry and running errands.

On our busiest days, you'll need to be flexible and help out where needed - most likely in our gift shop, greeting customers and processing sales.

Your hours of work will be 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday with a 4pm finish on two of those days. Occasional weekend work may be required. 

We are based in Brighton - around 30 minutes north of Hobart CBD. It is essential that you have your own reliable transport to get to and from work.

We are looking for someone to come in and really take ownership of this area - you'll need to thrive in crazy busy environments, be comfortable with juggling multiple high priority tasks, and pride yourself on your ability to stay calm and work in stressful conditions. 

Due to the nature of this role, we are unable to provide flexibility regarding the location of the role and the times you are required on site. Again, a reminder - you will not be working directly with animals, so please do not apply if that is what you are after! (Check out our internship instead!)

Annual wage $44,855.20 + super.
