Catering Assistants, Aged Care
Catering Industries Pty Ltd is a leading provider of contracted hospitality services (catering, cleaning and laundry) to Australia's health and aged care, education, government, corporate and resources sector. We currently employ over 1,300 personnel across various operations in our active market.
About the role
We are seeking a team of Part Time Catering Assistants to join the kitchen team in our client's aged care facility located in Narangba, QLD.
*This role has a start date of late February, with the opening of this facility on 8th March 2021*
Monday to Sunday shifts available:
6:30am – 2:30pm and 2:30pm - 7:00pm shifts
Between 20 - 38 hours per week
*Roster to be discussed with successful candidates in interview process
Skills and experience
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines
- Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients.
- The ability to support the chefs and the team in a busy kitchen.
- Must have reliable transport.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing meal service to elderly residents
- Cleaning of serveries and dining room set up
- Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
- Washing dishes in the main kitchen and plating of meals
- Preparing salads and sandwiches in the main kitchen
- Function set up and clear down
- Assist the Chef and Chef Manager as required in day to day tasks
- Food and beverage service
