Quality Assurance Officer
- A key digitisation project with Australia's independent national broadcaster
- Ultimo, Sydney. A Convenient CBD location (near Central Station)
- Contract vacancy for approx. 6 months to commence immediately

About the Role
Under routine direction, the Quality Assurance Officer will undertake QA activities on digital files, verifying that file capture is complete, metadata is correct and that files pass all QA tests. You will participate in UAT activities across all digitised content, including paper resources, and validate metadata extraction and you will resolve moderately complex hardware, software and other technical issues.
About You
To be a success in this role you will have accomplished knowledge of digitisation technology and preservation issues relating to digital audio-visual content, including experience in using various playback equipment; and you will have sound computer literacy and experience with digital AV files, including strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other databases. You will be an excellent communicator and team collaborator and will need to be very well organised with strong time management skills. You will have the ability to identify issues and propose solutions as well as prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience within an AV broadcast, digitisation services or technical archives environment will be highly regarded.
