Reporting to the Engineering Manager, as Project Engineer, you will be responsible for multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, ensure to complete cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. This role is located in Moorebank,  Australia.
 

Your Responsibilities

Coordinates engineering discipline across several projects in terms of installation and commissioning activities.
Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs.
Supports Contract Managers in issuing claims contract.
Creates work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Reviews and approves scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
Completes risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility.
Collaborates with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed to with potential suppliers.
Maintains network of engineering professionals and shares engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines.
Develops, selects and applies standard techniques, procedures and tools.

Your Background

Minimum Bachelor of Engineering, specializing in Electrical/Mechatronics.
Minimum 5 years of relevant Project Execution and Project Management experience.
Demonstrated Project Execution experience related to either Power Distribution / Switchgear / Protection / Renewable projects.
Being able to work with various functional departments, including Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Production, as well as supply factories from different geo-graphic locations.
Product knowledge for medium voltage equipment, such as AIS, GIS, Fused Contactor, Ring Main Unit, Compact Substations, protection relays and LV MNS switchgear.
Experience with MS Project, AutoCAD, some knowledge of SAP is preferred.
A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
