We offer an exciting opportunity for a Team Leader, Laboratories and Technical Support (Human Anatomy and Pathology) ($83,274 - $92,085) to join our world-leading institution at James Cook University (JCU).   A continuing appointment, this position is based at the JCU Bebegu Yumba Campus in Townsville.

 

What you can accomplish in the role

You will lead a committed team of Laboratory and Technical Officers to support the preparation, usage and documentation of cadaveric materials and other resources for use in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research.  Ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained, your focus will be on ensuring compliance with WHS, regulations and legislation whilst meeting the needs of key groups of stakeholders such as donors, staff, students and your team. 

 

What you will bring to the role

With a background in a clinical or laboratory setting, you have extensive experience working with anatomical and pathological specimens and meeting WHS and other legislative or regulative requirements.  Your strong leadership capabilities including performance management, communication and interpersonal skills, underpinned by your science qualifications, will ensure your success in this varied yet challenging role.
