• Study for an accredited qualification: Certificate III in Sport & Recreation, Certificate IV in Sport Development or Certificate III/IV in Fitness

Duties and Responsibilities for this job include:

• Class preparation / set-up
• General maintenance of equipment and facilities
• Assist with the delivery of programs and services
• Assist staff in the preparation, promotion, administration and delivery of a range of sport and health programs
• Provide customers of all ages and backgrounds with relevant and timely information and updates on programs
• Assist staff in the preparation of reports for sports programs
• Attend and particiapte in relevant meetings and training programs to ensure appropriate professional development

Job Requirements for this role:

• A permanent right to work in Australia
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
• Commitment to the delivery of quality customer service
• Must be able to swim 200 metres and be able to tow a person 25 metres
• Personal interest in and desire to develop a career in sport and fitness, recreation or event management
• A sound understanding of and experience with relevant computer packages and web communication such as Microsoft Office and Social Media platforms

SALARY

As the successful candidate, you will receive:

$19,000 – $25,000+9.5 % Superannuation

• National Training Wage Award
• Fully Funded Qualification

• People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
• This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
