ABOUT THE ROLE
AFL SportsReady currently has an exciting position available for someone wanting to pursue a career in the Sports & Recreation industry.
As the successful applicant, you will:
• Be employed by AFL SportsReady.
• Work on-site with VICTORIA UNIVERSITY
• Study for an accredited qualification: Certificate III in Sport & Recreation, Certificate IV in Sport Development or Certificate III/IV in Fitness

Duties and Responsibilities for this job include:
- Class preparation / set-up
- General maintenance of equipment and facilities
- Assist with the delivery of programs and services
- Assist staff in the preparation, promotion, administration and delivery of a range of sport and health programs
- Provide customers of all ages and backgrounds with relevant and timely information and updates on programs
- Assist staff in the preparation of reports for sports programs
- Attend and particiapte in relevant meetings and training programs to ensure appropriate professional development
Job Requirements for this role:
- A permanent right to work in Australia
- Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
- Commitment to the delivery of quality customer service
- Must be able to swim 200 metres and be able to tow a person 25 metres
- Personal interest in and desire to develop a career in sport and fitness, recreation or event management
- A sound understanding of and experience with relevant computer packages and web communication such as Microsoft Office and Social Media platforms

SALARY
As the successful candidate, you will receive:
$19,000 – $25,000+9.5 % Superannuation
- National Training Wage Award
- Fully Funded Qualification

MORE INFORMATION
- People with tertiary qualifications need not apply. Current university applicants may have to defer their studies to be eligible for this traineeship.
- This position is best suited to a recent secondary school leaver.
