About the Role

This position is based in Darwin


We are looking for a confident proactive individual who is a qualified Accountant with Australian experience. You will make decisions and take ownership of certain tasks and responsibilities and present in meetings to senior executives. The Finance Manager will provide support and mentoring for you along the way but your career to date will ensure you are able to hit the ground running. Experience in retail accounting would be preferable but not essential.
You will be required to cover for the Finance Manager when on annual leave and have the confidence to build your career to become a Finance Manager of a team of 10 in the future.

This role is not for the faint hearted, we are looking for someone who loves a challenge, able to think quickly, identify an issue and propose solutions on their own.



Your other responsibilities will be:
  • Internal/external Reporting , variance and cashflow analysis
  • Yearly budgeting and forecasting
  • Liaising with auditors
  • Leading and managing a finance officer
  • Create innovative ideas to improve process efficiencies.
  
About You
  • CA/CPA qualified accountant with strong excel skills
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, best practice and demonstrated ability to meet tight time frames
  • Power BI knowledge, advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • Highly organised, efficient with great attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Proven people management and leadership skills and experience - committed to developing team members
  • Proven record of success working in a fast-changing environment. while improving processes
