Regional Human Resources Operations Officer

Your New role
As part of the wider franchisor Human Resources team, you will operate as a champion for all HR Systems with a focus on monitoring, evaluating and making franchisor recommendations to franchisees with respect to the rostering and timesheet system (WorkForce Systems). Building trusted relationships with all relevant stakeholders and promoting education and therefore compliance in all aspects of employment law is the focus of this role.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and delivering HR systems education both face to face and via video conferencing
  • Monitoring use of HR systems and providing end user support and education
  • Monitoring and evaluating rostering and record keeping compliance in order to further tailor education for end users
  • Conducting franchised complex site visits across franchisee complexes in Southern NSW and Northern VIC
  • Making recommendations to franchisees in relation to HR, payroll/wages, rostering and budgeting matters
  • Providing further education to stakeholders to enable focused operational improvements in productivity whilst efficiently managing wages spend
  • Liaising with the franchisor HR team to identify and escalate improvement or focus areas
  • Reviewing, analysing and distributing reports

Based in NSW, this role requires travel* to visit franchisee complexes across the state and regional VIC and ACT, between 8– 12 weeks annually. The schedule for travel is flexible and self-managed.

About you
With at least 2 years’ experience in a workforce planning, payroll and/or HR position, ideally with a timesheet management and rostering focus, you will have:

  • The ability to travel at least 8-12 weeks in the year*
  • Understanding of and be able to share knowledge with others regarding the current industrial relations legislation, including the General Retail Industry Award and the Fair Work Act 2010
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build strong partnerships stakeholders to influence desired outcomes
  • The ability to work autonomously and remotely in a multi-site environment

Your application will be most desirable if you have:

  • HR experience with a degree or certificate in HR or a related discipline
  • Experience with Workforce Systems or other Time and Attendance software at a supervisor/management or system administrator level
  • Experience within a franchised operating model and/or in the retail industry
