Administrative Assistant

About the role
Shoalhaven City Council is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Administrative Officer for the Environmental Services Section, based at Nowra Administration Building. Working 14 hours per week, this position needs someone with a strong attention to detail, and excellent ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities, as no two days are the same.
Duties
Reporting directly to the Team Supervisor - SMF, the focus of this position is to:
- Provide high-level administrative support to professional staff within the Environmental Services Section.
- Implement administrative action for inspection, regulatory and invoicing processes.
- Comply with standard procedures, assist workflow and provide a high standard of customer service to all clients and customers, both internally and externally.
Skills & Experience
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:
- Certificate III in Office Administration (or equivalent) or equivalent relevant experience
- Ability to consult, share information and work collaboratively
- Demonstrated effective time management, organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to balance competing workloads and deadlines
- Demonstrated experience and competence in the use of Windows based computer programs and word processing packages.
