Production Engineer

We’re in search of an experienced Production Engineer, with an eye for detail and a positive team spirit to join our Engineering team.

K-Line Ag originally a family business in Cowra NSW, has been newly added to the brands of CNH Industrial.

Maintaining the family-orientated, innovative, customer-focused values, K-Line Ag continues to grow, producing high-quality agricultural machinery to the Australian market and markets abroad.

The Production Engineer is responsible for ensuring engineering drawings are current and up to standard and for integrating design changes into the Production Systems.

The Opportunity:

The Production Engineer will work closely with the Research and Design Team, Production Manager and Production Team. The Production Engineer will be required to assist to resolve manufacturing issues/complications. The Production Engineer may also be requested to assist the Research and Design team with CAD modelling, provide feedback to the Design Team regarding the manufacturability of components, and assist in Product Manual development and checking.

The Responsibilities:

The Production Engineer may be required to work on the factory floor performing inventory work and production work to increase knowledge of the company products and processes.

  • Checking and approval of Engineering Drawings for Manufacturing
  • Develop, refine and document manufacturing procedures
  • Ensure smooth transition into new designs within the system and on the production floor
  • Ensure component hardware is consistent within CAD model, MRP system and physical product, including reviewing of machine component pick-lists
  • Design and modelling of fabrication and assembly support structures
  • Implement systems to assist production planning
  • Assist in the development and review of Product Operation Manuals and Spare Parts Manuals
  • Liaise with suppliers, production, sales, industry experts, project managers, site engineers and customers as required
  • Provide technical support and guidance to workshop fabrication and assembly teams
  • Adherence to Production Schedule
  • Comply with WHS policies & procedures – Safety First (including engineering/product development)
  • Adherence to K-Line Ag, and CNHi policies and processes (Reporting, housekeeping, etc)

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical preferred)
  • Engineering/Manufacturing Drawing experience
  • CAD systems
  • MRP Programs
  • Microsoft Office
  • General Computer Systems
  • Some Manufacturing Industry experience
  • Experience with following strict quality assurance processes and procedures
