Patient Services and Domiciliary Administrative Assistant

Clinipath Pathology is a Perth based subsidiary of Sonic Healthcare with a reputation as a quality pathology service provider, focusing on professional excellence, reliability and excellent customer service.

We have an opportunity available to join our energetic and supportive Patient Services team in our Main Laboratory at Osborne Park as a Patient Services and Domiciliary Administrative Assistant on a part time basis.

The main focus of this role is to assist in the day to day organisation and functioning of the Patient Services and Domiciliary Department.

Duties include: 

  • Processing emails and phone enquiries from both external and internal clients.
  • Organising urgent recollects.
  • Receipting and allocation of domiciliary bookings via phone, fax or email.
  • Answering patient enquiries in regards to domiciliary bookings.
  • Answering Patient Services Department phones and directing where appropriate.
  • Filing request forms for future retrieval and allocation.
  • Answering queries from collectors.
  • Organising and co-ordinating any Needle stick injuries.
  • Organising and co-ordinating any urgent collects with the after-hours on call collector.
  • General troubleshooting for the Patient Services Department.

The successful applicant must have: 

  • The right to work in Australia.
  • Excellent computer and keyboard skills.
  • Proven ability to pleasantly and effectively interact with all patients and staff members to the standard required by Clinipath Pathology.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated excellence in Customer Service.
  • Cert III in Pathology collection or 1 year pathology collection experience.

Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is desirable.

This is a part time role located in Osborne Park, working Monday to Friday 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm with some Saturday work required.
