The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ is currently looking for a passionate Customer Experience Officer to join their Front line team in Hobart, Tasmania. This would be a call centre customer service role and would be reporting into the Supervisor - Frontline. We are looking for someone who is positive, has a passion for customer service and works hard to find the best solution for customers. 

The purpose of this role is to provide excellent customer service in the Veolia waste collection business through frontline activities which include client retention, customer service and generation of revenue growth through outbound sales. You will be required to collate customer data and provide waste collection solutions to customers using relevant systems and recommend suitable waste collection services & pricing options.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you’ll work closely with a small team, as well as internal stakeholder and clients. And you’ll learn from them, as much as they learn from you.

While ‘customer experience’ is about process and rhythm, you’ll find plenty of variety in your role. In addition to customer service you’ll play a key role in measuring and reporting the facility’s output, maintaining a robust safety and team culture and identifying more efficient ways of working that don’t compromise safety or quality.

In this role, you’ll be trained across a number of concrete skills for the job in hand. Many of our Customer Experience Officers have continued to progress their career with us, moving into supervisor and management positions. 

To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a phone based customer service role and/or outbound sales field
  • Sound understanding of business processes, capability and systems 
  • Managing  customer relationships and meeting targets and specific KPI’s
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Professional telephone manner- listening, questioning, empathy, clear client outcome and professionalism;
  • Excellent attention to detail and grammar
  • Time Management and Prioritisation
  • Experience within the waste industry (desirable)
