Pole Power is seeking a Trades Assistant.  This is a full time permanent position with an immediate start based in Mackay. 

You will be responsible for the upkeep of the company’s line construction vehicles & equipment.  Assist electrical linesmen, borer/lifter operator during the course of constructing & maintaining power lines.

Must be willing to operate within Pole Power's requirements for quality, safety and risk assessment compliance.

The Applicant should hold the following qualifications:

• HR Drivers Licence
• C2 Licence
• Forklift Licence
• Construction Industry Card

Pole Power is a family operated and owned local Mackay Company. We have been contracting to the Electricity Industry for over 25 years. We currently employ 6 staff.

We enjoy working a 9 day fortnight with extended leave taken at Christmas and Easter.

The level of payment will be subject to an assessment of the successful applicant's knowledge, skills and competencies that are required in this position.  Salaries are based upon Pole Power's Enterprise Agreement.  As per company policy there is a 6 month probation period. 

Pole Power has a zero tolerance policy for drug and alcohol use, all successful candidates will be required to undertake drug and alcohol testing and a full medical prior to commencement.
