About the Position

On offer is a Residential Construction Supervisor position within the Coffs Harbour office and their high performance construction team. Responsibilities will include:

Construction Management of all jobs on site to completion

Coordinate Suppliers and Subcontractors

Liaise with Clients - Communicating Openly & Honestly and Maintaining Positive Relationships

Site Meetings & Inspections

Maintain Electronic Job Files

Supervision of Workplace Health & Safety Policy on Site

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you must demonstrate the following:

Demonstrated experience in and extensive knowledge of the building industry

Good computer literacy, with specific experience in construction and estimating software

High level attention to detail 

Capability to work independently and as part of a team, building strong relationships with suppliers and other GJGH team members 

Budget management experience, including good pricing skills across all trades and the ability to identify opportunities for cost improvement 

Ability to create a strong relationships with and supervise sub-contractors 

Strong communication skills

A proven aptitude for problem solving

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and stay calm under pressure

Commitment to Work Health & Safety principles and practice 

High level of customer service and ability to build rapport with people on all levels

Excellent presentation

Excellent interpersonal, organisational, effective communication and problem-solving skills

Professional attitude, outgoing and friendly personality 

Eager to contribute, be proactive and be highly ambitious

Essential

Drivers Licence

Qualifications in construction management, or another building related field, will be a strong advantage. 

The successful candidate will understand the importance of building and maintaining relationships with clients, trades & suppliers, internal staff and the community. They will also be presentable, professional and enthusiastic with proven experience within the building industry.
