Shutdown - Trades Assistants

Ventia’s acquisition of Broadspectrum, completed in June 2020, brings together two highly complementary businesses, each with a proud heritage of providing essential infrastructure services in Australia and New Zealand. We are one of the largest suppliers of essential services in the region, and are proud to provide the expertise to keep infrastructure working for our communities. No one else does exactly what we do in the way we do it.

The Role  

Ventia are currently looking to engage several experienced Shutdown Trade Assistants for 2 months starting Feb 1st 2021. 

This role will see you assisting with shutdown activities at BP Refinery Kwinana.   

  • The roster includes a 9:1/13:1 with 10 hour shifts. 
  • You must be available to start on the 1st of Feb 2021
  • You must be available to do your medicals before 22nd January 2021
  • Pay rate is $42.85ph (Inclusive of casual loading) 

Requirements 

  • Construction White Card  
  • Work at Heights and Confined space tickets within 2 years 
  • High Risk RB, RI, RA, CB or CV not essential but highly regarded  
  • First Aid Certificate    

Skills & Experience 

  • Experience in a maintenance environment  
  • Knowledge of hydrocarbon production systems and associated hazards 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills  
  • Ability to follow process & procedures   
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment 
  • Excellent attitude towards health, safety & environment
