Burpengary Community Club

  • Brand new purpose-built club north of Brisbane
  • Seeking a passionate club manager with 5+ years’ experience

This is only the second time in Queensland that a brand-new community club has opened, creating a unique opportunity for a progressive manager to contribute to the success of this state-of-the-art entertainment venue.

What makes this opportunity even more unique, is that it will be part of one of Queensland’s most successful commercial community club groups, Hervey Bay RSL, which has an extensive interest in multiple clubs, hotels, accommodation and property.  Located within the largest and fastest growing council area in the state, Burpengary is situated only half an hour from the beaches of Redcliffe or Bribie Island.  

Your leadership, organisational capacity and inherent drive will naturally enable you to oversee and deliver quality operational standards and performances.  A leader who's comfortable engaging with staff and members, you will assist in growing the bar, gaming, and food operations through the implementation of operational plans and striving to maintain a positive work culture of excellence in all areas of the operation by mentoring, motivating and managing your team to achieve business objectives.  You will require strong skills in understanding gaming operations in a professional environment.

A highly energetic outgoing personality with a strong background in club operations, demonstrating an ability to deliver above-benchmark earnings results and operational standards over a sustained period is imperative.  The key attributes of the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate are:

  • A proven track record in driving gaming revenue and managing player loyalty systems
  • Capacity for strategic thinking and implementation of strategic plans
  • Strong business acumen and a high level of understanding of club finances
  • Demonstrated understanding and ability to grow revenues in all areas through initiatives that result in strong profitability
  • A passion for customer service demonstrated by managing a positive culture through HR systems
