Golding is currently seeking site-based HV Electricians to work as part of the project maintenance  team at Boggabri Mine. This is a residential role based in Boggabri regional NSW, 1.5 hours west of Tamworth. We will offer suitable candidates’ permanent full-time employment. 

Our 5 year maintenance contract was awarded in Dec 2017 to deliver equipment maintenance at Boggabri open-cut coal mine for our client Idemitsu. Operating ultra-class fleets equipment including Liebherr R9800 excavators and Komatsu 930E haul trucks, the mine produces up to 7 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of saleable coal with a mine life to 2033.

Key Role Tasks: 

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the role is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of our fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment.

• Working as part of a team to ensure minimal downtime of production equipment
• Routine servicing and maintenance of all equipment both site workshop and field based
• Electrical diagnostics
• Fault finding and trouble shooting
• Complete all maintenance administration requirements in a timely and legible manner
• Actively participate in toolbox and safety meetings
• Participate in hazard identification, risk assessment and JHAs (Job Hazard Analysis) and SWP’s (Safe Work Procedures) where necessary for specific work areas.

Role Requirements

• Trade qualification (Australian recognised)
• High voltage switching ticket (Refresher within the last 2 years)
• Previous Ultra-Class Electric Drive Haul Truck experience
• Current drivers’ licence
• Strong electrical diagnostic skills
• Capacity to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Excellent attitude towards safety and commitment to zero-harm
• Self-motivated and strong work ethic
• Working at Heights Certification and High-Risk tickets (Dogging/Rigging) (advantageous)
