The Opportunity

Due to growth, we are looking to hire a Civil Drafter to join our growing Newcastle office.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Working within a multi-disciplined engineering team to deliver a range of civil engineering design projects
  • Daily use of AutoCAD and a range of 2D and 3D and structural packages
  • Supporting the wider resources team and other teams within the company nationally when the opportunity presents 
  • Carry out assigned project and CAD design work as part of an integral team adhering to technical and commercial standards
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and be committed to team approach and outcomes
  • Provide ongoing continuous improvement and development inputs to create more efficient workflows within the team


What we’ll love about you:

  • Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Practical experience with AutoCAD (essential), experience with 12D is highly regarded
  • Previous mining/industrial infrastructure experience not essential but highly regarded
  • Experience with executing BIM and 3D modelling project delivery methods
  • Familiarity with working with point cloud surveys would be highly regarded
  • Able to work remotely on client’s sites liaising directly with the client to deliver the most appropriate engineering solution
  • 3-7 years’ experience
