Technical Support Officer
Scotch College has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Technical Support Officer with a passion for Apple Technologies to provide first line help desk support to Scotch students, parents and staff. Candidates who are looking to work in an innovative and busy IT department, where they will have the opportunity to develop and grow their IT skills, are encouraged to apply.
If you are an individual who holds qualifications in, or are nearing completion of, a Diploma in Information Technology or a Computer Science Degree, we would like to talk to you!
This role will provide first line help desk and telephone support to all users of Scotch devices and equipment, support and maintain Scotch AV equipment and liaise with manufacturers/service agents for warranty service requests. On a day-to-day basis you will be the front face of the IT department and ensures that all our customers’ (student, staff and parent) technical concerns are dealt with in a timely fashion, following troubleshooting best practices, whilst providing the customer with the highest level of courtesy possible.
We know the importance of having staff with up-to-date IT skills. Therefore, a development plan will be created to achieve not only our strategic goals, but also your personal goals, moving forward.
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have outstanding Apple IT skills (Windows IT skills are a bonus)
- Be customer focused, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have outstanding attention to detail and the ability to effectively problem solve
- Be passionate about their work and will follow through on commitments
- Have the ability to learn quickly and knows when to ask for help
- Possess strong organisational and time management skills
- Work independently or as part of a team
- Have the demonstrated ability to embrace Scotch College values of Service, Integrity and Stewardship, underpinned by the values of the Uniting Church in Australia
Scotch College is an Apple Distinguished and Cisco Exemplar School, who have a sophisticated network (fibre and copper), a virtualised server environment and on any given day there are over 2500 devices, (laptops, desktops, tablets and mobiles) on the network.
