About the Role 

Fivecast is hiring Software Engineers to join our best-in-class development team. People with varying degrees of experience are encouraged to apply. Fresh graduates, couple years out of uni as well as experienced developers are all welcome. 

Our software stack is built on React.JS, Spring Boot and Java. We are focused on our customers and regularly ship planned releases to production, while listening to users and responding to feedback.  

You’ll be working with bright people on challenging software problems. You will be also applying complex machine learning models developed by our Data Science team to large volumes of unstructured data.  

Requirements 

Must Have:

• Degree level qualifications e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering
• Experience designing, implementing and testing software applications in Java
• Experience with web front-end technologies e.g. HTML, CSS, and Javascript frameworks such as React or Angular
• Experience using relational databases
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to stay focused on tasks until complete

Desirable:

• Experience with search engines or NoSQL document stores e.g. Elasticsearch, Solr, MongoDB
• An understanding of data science and machine learning techniques
