Our Client is seeking an experienced professional with a demonstrated record of exercising initiative and judgment; developing strategic work plans and managing the subsequent delivery; actively engaging with stakeholders providing quality advice and briefing on ICT business cases and risk.

The Specified Personnel are required to undertake the following duties:
  • Establish, implement, monitor and review effective ICT Program Management practices and processes;
  • Build effective relationships and negotiate outcomes with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Prepare and analyse reports and proposals, including business cases, technical reports, strategic and business plans, and formulate recommendations;
  • Provide leadership and oversight of projects and activities;
  • Undertake procurement activities required to support resourcing and project outcomes
  • Coordinate and manage (across the program) human and financial resources, workflow and team performance and;
  • Work in a collaborative manner as a member of a team and across the Department.
The role will require a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) security clearance. While an NV1 clearance is preferred, candidates with a Baseline may be considered.

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrated strong Project Management experience in delivering ICT projects with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience.
  • Proven experience working in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver digital solutions through agile ways of working.
  • Proven high level organisational, analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills together with sound judgement and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under limited direction within guidelines to meet business objectives, and experience in developing project schedules, defining work plans, establishing milestones, identifying priorities and undertaking project reporting to successfully deliver the ICT portfolio of work.
  • Strong engagement and communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal and negotiation) including experience liaising with internal and external stakeholders and management of sensitive information.
  • Ability to facilitate and lead cross-agency or multi-agency planning of program delivery.
  • Provide advice and technical expertise in specific areas of project or program activities.
  • Coordinate risk assessment and risk management activities for a project or program
  • Ability to co-ordinate procurement processes in accordance with Commonwealth guidelines, including developing tender documentation, managing selection processes and addressing contractor performance issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to be innovative, show initiative and provide sound business solutions to identified issues.
