The opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced receptionist and medical-based administrator to join our St Kilda Road Melbourne Clinic team on a fulltime basis. You will be the primary point of contact for people to interact with the clinic and as such, must have a genuine desire to provide high-quality service to our patients, referring practitioners and other stakeholders. 

 

A bit about us

Our Melbourne clinic (St Kilda Road) is a refractive, cataract and corneal specialist. We provide premium service to our patients, from the comfort of the clinic to the state-of-the-art technology used for our refractive procedures. The team of clinical and administration staff provide the highest quality service.

 

A bit about you

You must have excellent customer service and communication with professional presentation.  Experience is required in clerical and administrative services associated with medical records management. Your great communication and time management skills mean you ensure the highest level of hospitality for our patients and visitors whilst providing support for our onsite team. 

Key tasks include: 

  • Provide clerical and administrative services associated with the end-to-end process of medical records management, inbound/outbound queries, patient appointments and reception duties 

  • Assist with the smooth running of the day-to-day services of the clinic including maintaining the appearance, cleanliness of the patient and work area 

  • Provide clerical and administrative services for the provision of delivery of accurate and timely surgical bookings information and documentation 

  • Responsible for liaising with Health Fund providers and ensuring team members are kept informed of changes

  • Process end of month data including accurate KPI data 

  • Resolve any patient complaints in a timely, confidential and respectful manner 

  • Responsible for the ordering of consumables 

  • Carry out financial tasks relating to banking, invoicing, receipting, debtors and reconciliation
