The position of Marketing and Communications Manager at Foodbank Victoria will play a vital part in building brand and an emerging personality whilst developing these critical partnerships.

It’s a pivotal moment for this iconic organisation. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer and leading a small team, you will make bold and exciting plans to capitalise on the enormous growth in awareness of Foodbank generated by their emergency response to bushfires and the Covid pandemic.

You will work to maximise Foodbank Victoria’s reputation in ways that are exciting, dynamic and vital. This will be done across a broad range of platforms with an eye to both embracing the new ways that people interact with not-for-profits and challenging more conservative stereotypes.

You will lead in a number of key areas including (but not limited to):

• brand development and custodianship
• creating and managing partnership programs
• campaign planning and execution
• leveraging PR and media opportunities
• developing donor campaigns
• budget management
• team leadership
• stakeholder engagement
• managing outside agency and ambassador support.

About you

You are a contemporary marketing and communications professional who can quickly adapt to the political, social, business and media context in which Foodbank Victoria operates.

Your CV likely shows the following:

• A strong track record as a marketing / communications manager
• Evidence of your ability across a range of platforms, both traditional and new
• Team leadership experience
• A blend of strategic and versatile abilities combined with a preparedness to execute
• Relevant qualifications.

You are someone who shows pragmatism and optimism in equal measure. You are collegiate in your approach and humane in your outlook. You are resilient enough to know that not every problem in the world can be solved but, with vision and action, many can. You display high energy and are ready to embrace the idea that the sky is the limit for what Foodbank Victoria can achieve with its brand.
