Hope & Glory is pleased to be the recruiter supporting CPR Communications & Public Relations in its search for a Senior Adviser, Government Relations.

About CPR

CPR is a leading public affairs and communications consultancy with more than twenty-five years’ experience and is part of the ASX-listed Enero Group Limited.

About the role

An excellent career opportunity has come about for a high-performing adviser to join CPR in a government relations role focussed principally on medical research and health. The successful candidate will support an impressive roster of blue chip accounts for the business.

This role will draw on a number of disciplines. It will suit applicants with a talent for detailed planning, strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to form strong client and stakeholder relationships.

To be the successful applicant, you will need to be someone who can quickly understand and adapt to the political, social, business and media context in which CPR’s clients operate. Working as part of a high-performing team, the role requires a highly-skilled individual who can blend strategic abilities with a preparedness to execute. You will need strong, broad skills including (but not limited to):
  • government relations
  • account management
  • advocacy and strategy development
  • policy analysis and positioning.
About you

Your application for the role likely demonstrates the following:
  • Relevant degree qualifications
  • Government relations experience from political and / or public sector settings
  • The ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders
  • An understanding of the political landscape in Victoria
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Exceptional written skills.
You bring a mature and considered approach to your work. Your colleagues and clients seek your advice on a range of complex matters because of your ability to provide wise counsel. A strong team orientation and collegiality are distinct hallmarks of your work style.

The role is an ongoing position with some flexibility around work-from-home options.
