The Digital and Creative Services team is responsible for the production of the FederalGovernment organisation's print and digital materials; including graphic design and print services, website and intranet publishing.
The Production manager, Digital and Creative Services provides expert advice and supports the delivery of all Royal Commission print and online publications.

The role will require the successful candidate to:
  • Ensure that processes meet government and industry standards for publication and equip the organisation to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by digital and print publishing
  • Provide support and advice for the development, maintenance and strategic direction of the website
  • Participate in regular planning and coordination meetings, and work with external suppliers to develop information architecture for the final report website
  • Manage the systems and tools to support the publishing process, including production planning and scheduling, templates and tabling
  • Manage systems to monitor progress against project milestones and coordinate input from across teams
  • Provide advice and services on editorial and production issues for reports, including imagery and the development of related communication products
  • Participate in cross-branch advisory groups to provide technical expertise, including decommissioning planning and the final report
  • Review materials submitted for publication and liaise with internal authors regarding changes in style or format.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications/publishing or related fields
  • Well-developed project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage a diverse range of competing priorities and deadlines
  • Significant experience in editorial and publication management roles, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contributors in a calm and efficient manner and ensure projects are delivered to deadline
  • High level written and oral communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, briefings, agendas and minutes to a consistent standard
  • Demonstrated track record in writing and editing for print and online and managing large scale publications such as annual reports
  • Experience in brand management with a focus on ensuring communication collateral meets editorial and branding guidelines
  • Experience working with suppliers and vendors including creative agencies, designers, web developers, and photographers
  • High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and quality assurance for published material
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a range of competing deadlines and projects
  • Ability to think independently and initiate suggestions for improvement where suitable.
This role is Brisbane based, with a 12 month length (and view to extension)
