The Digital and Creative Services team is responsible for the production of all print and digital materials; including graphic design and print services, website and intranet publishing.
The Accessibility and QA officer, Digital and Creative Services supports the Production manager in the delivery of all print publications.

The role will require the successful candidate to:
  • Support the publishing process and the production of high quality print and online materials including public hearing reports, research reports, policy reports, issues papers, consultation papers, and other material
  • Undertaking accessibility remediation of all documents
  • management of word templates
  • monitoring warehousing/stock control and distribution
  • Review materials submitted for publication and liaise with internal authors regarding changes in style or format
  • Monitor and improve editorial standards of documents, for both print and online publishing
  • Ensure efficient delivery of multiple assignments, meeting deadlines, tabling and embargo requirements
  • Ensure that processes meet government and industry standards for print publication
  • Manage the image library, access to stock libraries, cataloguing and displaying images
  • Participate in cross-branch advisory groups to provide technical expertise
The successful applicant will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in communications/publishing or related fields
  • Well-developed project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage a diverse range of competing priorities and deadlines
  • Significant experience in editorial and publication management roles, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contributors in a calm and efficient manner and ensure projects are delivered to deadline
  • High level written and oral communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, briefings, agendas and minutes to a consistent standard
  • Demonstrated track record in writing and editing for print and online and managing large scale publications such as annual reports
  • Experience in brand management with a focus on ensuring communication collateral meets editorial and branding guidelines
  • Experience working with suppliers and vendors including creative agencies, designers, web developers, and photographers
  • High attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and quality assurance for published material
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a range of competing deadlines and projects
  • Ability to think independently and initiate suggestions for improvement where suitable
  • As this role is within Federal Government, applicants must hold Australian citizenship. 
This is a Brisbane based 12-month assignment with view to extension.
