We have an exciting permanent in our Operation - Field Delivery division for Power Worker (Trades Assistant), based in Dalby and are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates. 

Field Delivery is responsible for the core functions of customer service response, including customer fault response and disaster management, customer connections, customer relationships and provision of metering services. Also constructing and maintaining overhead, high and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains and customer service lines.

To be a Power Worker (Trade Assistant):

  • As a Power Worker (Trade Assistant) you will assist tradespeople with the construction, maintenance and associated activities on overhead and underground electrical networks with limited supervision.
  • Provide support as a safety observer and actively identify and implement risk control measures where needed.
  • Drive and operate vehicles, plant, tools and equipment, while also maintaining and checking the operation of equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain both material and stock levels, ensuring adequate stock is on hand.
  • Recent experience with crane/borer ticket in the distribution industry would be advantageous.
  • Participate in the on-call roster and work after hours if required;Willing to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
