The Organisation

Yarra Valley Water provides essential water supply and sanitation services to over 1.7 million people who live and work in the northern and eastern suburbs of Melbourne. However, we do a lot more than just making sure there's water when you turn on the tap! Working with us, you will be trained in a variety of aspects of the water industry.

The Role

Ours is not a typical contact centre. We empower our Customer Care Consultants to get to know our customers and take the time to really solve their problems. We want to make it easy for our customers, so they don't need to call us again. To do this, you will take ownership of resolving customers' account and billing related enquiries. You will interact with our customers via phone (inbound and outbound calls), as well as email and Web Chat.

You don't need contact centre experience, but you do need to be truly passionate about helping others. You will enjoy engaging with our customers, be confident in how you speak to people and in making decisions. You will have great computer skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.

The Roster

You must be available to work on a rotating roster between 8am and 7pm Monday to Friday. We provide rosters 4 weeks in advance, so you'll always be well aware of what your coming month looks like.

The Training

Extensive training is provided over 4 weeks in our Mitcham Office, from 8:30am to 4:30pm. Training will start on 29th of November, so you will need to be available to start on that date and attend training for 4 weeks.

The Benefits

Our Customer Care Consultants are paid a salary of $46,487 per annum (pro-rated for part time, plus 10.5% superannuation) for the duration of training. Upon successful completion of training & related assessments, the salary will increase to $51,857 per annum (plus 10.5% superannuation).

Other awesome benefits of working for YVW include;

  • Supportive, friendly team environment
  • Hybrid work model
  • Ongoing coaching & training to assist you in your development

The value statement should explain why you want to work with us, what your personal values are and how you think they will align with our organisation.
