The Opportunity

As one of WA’s longest established private health insurers, we continue to innovate and challenge the status quo; with a strategy focused on business growth and sustainability, diversification, national expansion and significant enhancements to our technology capability. As we rapidly expand our presence across Australia and increase our market share, we need experienced Strategy Professionals to join our Corporate Development team.


We are currently seeking Manager level and Analysts to assist with:

  • Developing the long-term group strategy to shape HBF’s future and prioritisation of initiatives and achieve business goals;
  • Business planning process ensuring organisational alignment of strategy;
  • Providing thought leadership and undertaking end-to-end strategic reviews and strategy formulation projects; and
  • Conducting quality analysis of the market and product insight reports to the Executive.

These are true in-house strategy roles within a corporate Head Office in Perth.

HBF’s current growth mandate will incorporate key programs across M&A and Digital Transformation. These roles will work alongside and engage with a world class Board and management team, as well as having access to the CFO and CEO. There is the opportunity to work on actual group strategy growth initiatives that are B2C focussed rather than B2B and a move to more senior roles either within the team or business in the future.

 

About You

To be considered for this role, you will be tertiary qualified with strategy development experience within a consulting firm, investment bank or large complex corporate environment. With your strategy model and framework knowledge, partnered with your superior analytical and research skills, you will be able to problem solve, unlock insights, and develop strategic thinking. You have highly developed communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with a high degree of motivation, emotional intelligence and are driven by a growth mindset.
