This is an opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer with Water Industry Design or Construction Experience. This key position will have you leading, developing and empowering a very talented team of high performing engineers through an exciting growth phase for our business.
You’ll be a key member of our Water team, who has secured a variety of challenging projects. This includes supporting Melbourne Water in delivering better outcomes for the industry, community and environment through its latest Engineering Services Panel. KBR is part of a team (known as Water4Good) that is striving to create a positive legacy through supporting social and sustainable initiatives on projects as well as a number of regional water utility panel positions (including Gippsland Water, Barwon Water, Yarra Valley Water, Southern Rural Water & Goulburn Valley Water).
As part of our team, you will play a key role in team development and strongly contribute to client relationships, technical oversight and the commercial success of the business unit. You will work with a diverse team of talented people who are committed to supporting our clients through long-term partnership arrangements; not to mention a key contributor to delivering projects.
You will have input into the strategic direction of our Victorian business by drawing on your experience, knowledge and contacts to identify market trends, future opportunities and areas where we can add greater value to clients.
Our team is also exploring new ways to integrate virtual reality and artificial intelligence on projects, offering you the opportunity to future proof and broaden your skills in the digital sphere.
Who are you?
We are looking for a driven Senior Civil Engineer looking to take the next step expanding into technical leadership. You will have a focus on delivery to join our high performing Victorian team.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- Hold an accredited Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- Design experience with knowledge of industry standards. Preferable is experience with undertaking designs in accordance with the Melbourne Region Water Authority Design Standards (MRWA WSAA Standards).
- Proven ability to work in, and lead, engineering and design modelling teams, work directly with Water Authority clients, and manage projects to scope, budget and program.
- Previous experience gained within an engineering consultancy environment
- You are a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or have eligibility to apply for this accreditation.

KBR’s Infrastructure Services Australia business offers a wide range of professional consulting services to private and public sector clients to deliver projects of any size in both urban and remote environments in transport, water and environment, buildings, defence infrastructure and program management consultancy. Our workforce of over 750 is technically and geographically diversified to match the characteristics of our principal markets and has the capability to service our clients’ requirements through all phases of project development and implementation.
