The Role

The role of the Commercial Planning & Systems Analyst is engaged in has a number of key purposes, it encompasses all activities within Adaptive Insights (AI) for planning and reporting as well as data integration to AI from Pronto & Deswik (with the support of Tridant).  The role supports the standardisation of finance business processes, finance systems and master data maintenance as well as being involved in shaping future development and integration of finance systems.  Additionally, the role supports senior management to leverage reports from AI to analyse key cost drivers and operational metrics of the business to measure performance.

Reporting to GM - Commercial, you will work with Group and Site Commercial Stakeholders to identify, prioritise and manage AI related improvement projects in both the short and long term as well as to provide support during Budgeting, Forecasting and in the delivery of Monthly Reporting.

The roster for this position is a 5/2 roster, 8am to 5pm based in our Corporate Brisbane Office.

To be successful in this position you will need:

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree qualification in Commerce or Finance; or a mining related discipline, combined with post graduate studies and experience in a Commercial environment.
  • Experience with Pronto ERP (or similar) and Adaptive Insights (or similar FP&A tools) an advantage. 
  • Experience in the Resources Industry.

Key Competencies & Skills:

  • Commercial experience in a similar analytical role an advantage.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills and numerical reasoning.
  • High attention to detail when undertaking calculations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good organisational skills and an ability to manage a range of tasks.
  • Project management desirable although not essential.
  • Strong team focus, business partnering and collaboration skills.
