Our Digital Teaching and Learning unit develop digital teaching and learning resources to improve student outcomes, enhance teacher impact and strengthen school communities across Australia. 

The role

We are looking for a Content Manager to contribute to The Literacy Hub ( to ensure high quality education outcomes are achieved. The Literacy Hub supports the Year 1 Phonics Check and the Targeted Phonics Assistance Program by providing a suite of resources for students, teachers and families. 

You will support the team to ensure planned content is designed and delivered in a pedagogically sound way and via delivery methods that will engage and support the audience.

Whilst a background in early years literacy is desirable, we are looking for less of a technical specialist and more of an educational content all-rounder. This experience could support further projects and ongoing work at ESA.

The role is a full-time fixed term contact for 12 months (possibility of extension).

We offer work flexibility, in January 2022 we’ll have 60% requirement working in the office and 40% working from home.

 The role requires you to; 

  • Provide content management planning, guidance and support 
  • Source and liaise with subject matter experts to provide initial content that may be adapted for online education purposes.
  • Provide guidance and manage the design and development of content for teachers and students, focusing on Year F-2 but with the ability to work across F-12
  • Ensure effective relationships are developed and maintained within ESA and with external clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well with team members, including the Program Manager and project team, to share knowledge, skills and tools across the project delivery.

About you

  • You have experience in education-focused content development and management
  • You have worked on a range of digital resource developments
  • You have experience in delivering digital content for educational projects and an understanding of the education system within Australia 
  • You are highly organised, pro-active person, with strong attention to detail, high-level interpersonal skills and committed to quality service delivery
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven capacity to effectively collaborate with peers, project team members and consultants, clients and stakeholders.
  • Highly desirable if you have experience in developing literacy resources.
