As a Not For Profit organisation, LEF partners with its clients to develop and deliver high-quality educational programs predominantly for youth that combine curriculum learning, adventure and personal growth to meet each client’s philosophies, policies and outcomes.

About The Role

LEF requires an experienced Business Manager to handle all accounting needs of the organisation.

Responsibilities include; accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciling monthly, monitoring and projecting cash flow and preparing monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports.

Reporting directly to the CEO and working with the LEF accountant to prepare periodic reports as required will be necessary. The successful candidate will also act as LEF Company Secretary and assist the Board with constitutional governance and directional guide.

Berry based office, offering flexible working hours and work from home options within standard business hours.

The ideal candidate will be well organised, flexible, and self-motivating, have the ability to work with minimal supervision, exhibit professional skills and demonstrate continuous high attention to detail.


  • Degree qualified in an applicable Business/Accounting Degree/Field or demonstrated 5+ year experience as a bookkeeper/accountant with relevant qualification
  • Proficiency with Xero including advanced reporting and implementation/management of an ERP system
  • Demonstrated ability to apply initiative and make decisions with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion
  • High verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise with people at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting deadlines and classify priorities
  • Ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised
  • Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet interpretation
  • Proficient in accounting terminology and functions including manual journals
