Programmed are looking to recruit a Manager of Projects Works and Services for the Circular Head Council.

This position is suited to an experienced senior supervisor or manager with a civil project background with the attributes below;

  • Tertiary or equivalent qualifications in Project Management, Management, Civil Construction, Engineering or related field
  • Current drivers licence
  • Working with vulnerable people accreditation, or able to obtain
  • Police check

Reporting to the Council General Manager you will be tasked with providing strong leadership and management to the Works and Services department. Delivering project and maintenance activities across the council's assets in line with relevant standards and regulations. The leadership component of this position will require the applicant to have a positive outlook and be able to demonstrate the development and fostering of teams whilst promoting professionalism and the council values.

The Projects Works and Service Manager is expected to be involved with strategic planning and estimating for budgetary costings of future activities. The role will require you to provide technical advice to elected members and the Executive Management Team along with supporting contractors and council works crews. The Circular Head Council is a strong advocate for continuous improvement and examples of change management, continuous improvement to improve workplace culture would be highly regarded.
