We are currently recruiting for a Retail Business Manager to join our Sales Team. 


Applicants are required to be based in South Australia. The role will involve a combination of field-based work with regular dealer visits along with working from home.  

As a Retail Business Manager with Honda Australia Motorcycle and Power Equipment you will be responsible for achieving the monthly sales objectives of the region for Motorcycles, Power Equipment, Parts & Service, along with building effective relationships with dealers. Additionally, you will achieve all business related KPIs, including Dealer Standards, Dealer Visit Reports, Tactical Actions and Countermeasures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve set targets for each individual Dealer and Dealer network.
  • Advise and assist Dealers in the effective use of daily operating controls and other management aids.
  • Responsible for the activities of sales, service/workshop, finance, parts and accessories/merchandise amongst your Dealers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge from the Prime Market Area (PMA) Report Assist dealers in executing advertising and sales promotional activities.
  • Assist Dealers to maintain best practice showrooms & workshops.
  • Manage promotional budgets.
  • Assist dealers with the development, training, and motivation of their Managers and sales, service and parts teams.
  • Complete Dealer Visit Reports (DVRs) to agreed standards.
  • Attend all major field days and Honda MPE functions as necessary, or as requested by the Zone Sales Manager.


About You:

You will have a high level of commitment to deliver retail best practice along with a proven background at managing relationships at all levels, from national retailers through to sole operators alike. 

You will also present the ability to achieve business objectives and report conclusively on results, through your superior interpersonal skills leading to successful retailer interactions. 

Additionally, you will be highly organised, reliable, and capable of operating in a remote environment without direct supervision. 

Superior PC skills with a strong ability in the operation of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Power Point and Outlook is also desired. 

Finally, strong Automotive experience in service, parts & frontline is advantageous.
