Community Based Support is humming with energy. Between growth in business and lots of fresh new skills and talent to complement the knowledge and expertise of the team, things are on the up and up.

We’ve got a range of roles coming up ‘behind the scenes’ in our Aged Care department. Several of our team are taking some time out to grow their families and others are experiencing career progression and shifting internally. We are proud to support all this movement.

We are doing things differently, we’re innovating, we’re reflecting, and we’re open to all sorts of possibilities. We know that direct experience isn’t the be all and end all, and that transferable skills can be as valuable as that diploma you did or didn’t get.

We are inviting you to introduce yourself, share your experience and how it could be valuable to us. No dreary selection criteria. We want to hear about your experience and passion in your words – our ears are open.

The roles up for grabs:

Permanent Full Time Opportunity:

  • 1 x Coordinator – Grant Funded Programs

Fixed Term Opportunities (between 6-18 months):

  • 2 x Coordinators – Home Care Packages
  • 1 x Rostering Officer
  • 1 x Manager – Home Care Packages

What we need you to bring:

  • Our clients and customers are our top priority – how do you provide excellent service in what you do?
  • Each of these roles (excluding the Rostering Officer) has a small team of people reporting to them, so tell us about your natural leadership skills or what sort of experience you can share with us.
  • The roles are super busy and dynamic (hooray!) so tell us how you keep on top of things with your excellent organisational skills.
  • Tell us how you use your communication in the workplace to best advantage and when things get tricky with clients, as they can do, how you achieve the best outcome for all.
  • You are confident with the systems we use to make work life easy; CRMs and databases are your friend – tell us about that.

What we can help you learn on the job:

  • We’ll support you to work within budgets and get your head around financial management
  • You don’t need to have worked in the Aged Care sector – you will definitely learn all about that on the job

Who is this for:

  • Those with experience in the sector as well as those wanting to join the sector
  • Those with lived experience, wanting to formalise their ‘life-skills’
  • Those working in care roles and looking to round out their knowledge of the sector
  • People interested in working for a large organisation, who are interested in career progression
  • Anyone wanting to contribute to the community

The application:

Send your most current resume with a one pager to tell us more about you, directly to zoey.keleher@cbsaust.org.au

You can stretch it to two pages if you need but that’s the maximum. We want to get an idea of your fit for the role, the team and the organisation. We’re really looking forward to hearing from you.
