Graduate/ Trainee Financial Planner 

Unique new opportunity to join this established financial planning practice, specialising in wealth creation, superannuation, risk protection, retirement planning and more much. They focus on helping their clients achieve their financial goals by providing clear, quality, and easy to understand financial advice. With office locations across NSW they have created a new opportunity for a Graduate/Client Service Officer or Trainee Adviser to support the Senior Financial Planner in Canberra.  

As the first point of contact for clients, your role will assist in delivering a range of services including the following:

  • Responding to client requests and document preparation.
  • Preparation for new client meetings and client reviews.
  • Communicate with clients and financial institutions in relation to queries via email, phone and in person.
  • Prepare files and documentation in advance of client appointments.
  • Process/lodge and track client applications including liaising with clients and financial institutions
  • Preparing fact finds.
  • Assist with product comparisons and calculations.
  • Preparing and issuing Financial Disclosure Statements. 
  • Preparing and issuing Fixed Term Agreements around compliance with the Opt-in renewal rules.
  • Maintaining compliant files and providing a high level of support.
  • Update file notes using the Xplan software. 
  • Comply with legislative and regulatory compliance framework.

To be successful in securing this position we are seeking a self driven and motivated individual who enjoys having people interaction.  You will ideally have worked within a similar professional services environment such as banking or accounting. 

In addition you will have the following attributes:

  • The ability to develop good relationships with clients, fellow staff and other professionals including referral partners of the business.
  • Have strong attention to detail and proven time management and organisational skills.
  • Be pro-active with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Process driven and solutions focussed.
  • Positive and constructive mindset, energetic and motivated.
  • RG146 qualifications preferred (not essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Tertiary qualification within a related discipline (not essential).
