Type: Part Time (3 days per week); 2 positions available

Location: Randwick NSW (Head Office) providing support to our network of Op Shops

Noffs is looking for like minded people to join our thriving team as a Storeperson & Driver. The successful person will be responsible for disseminating and delivering goods amongst our network of Op Shops, including emptying the clothing donation bins on a daily basis. Our ideal person will have the ability to liaise with clients and volunteers and possess good customer relations and people skills.

Experience driving a large van, being on the road, and the ability to undertake repeated heavy lifting is also required. You will also be required to help with picking up and delivering donations and items between our Sydney based locations.

Responsibilities and duties include but not limited to

  • Collecting and disseminating donations amongst our Op Shops (can be heavy lifting at times)
  • Providing ongoing support to our Op Shop Management team and our network of volunteers
  • Taking a lead role in the thoughtful and considered disposable of waste
  • Ensuring the security and safety of self, other staff/volunteers and the Op Shops
  • Liaise with handyman and contractors to carry out repairs and maintenance works
  • Be a mentor for young people assisting in a work experience capacity
  • Support of the team for day-to-day
  • Maintenance of accurate paperwork, records, and reports

Essential Criteria

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational, communication and time management skills
  • Workplace Health & Safety mentality and be able to physically lift donations for multi-drops, lifting and packing
  • A "can do attitude" that is willing to adapt and employ problem solving skills
  • Must hold a current Driver's licence (Provisional driver's licence minimum) and have experience driving a large van
  • Successful candidates must have a current and valid NSW Working With Children Check prior to commencing employment.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience performing handyman tasks
