About the role
We are seeking applications for a fixed-term part-time Nurse to join our School Health Centre.
The Health Centre provides care for students from 3-year-old Early Learning to Year 12 across our Sturt Street, Mair Street and Yuulong Campuses.
The role will supplement our existing roster providing support across the week, Monday-Friday, between school hours and co-curricular activities. The Health Centre also provides support for students in our boarding houses.
Role tasks and responsibilities:
Providing safe patient care to students in line with the National Standards, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and scope of practice. This will likely include:
- Management of cuts and lacerations;
- Soft tissue injury;
- Basic wound care;
- Minor bleeding; and
- Medication administration.
On occasion the role will require competent and safe nursing management of incidents that require further medical treatment that may include:
- Cardiac events;
- Asthma; and
The School Nursing role at Clarendon provides comprehensive COVID-19 safety education, infection control services and Rapid Antigen Testing (RAT) services for students and staff.

Knowledge, skill and qualification requirements:
- Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA.
- Current BLS / CPR.
- Unrestricted driver's licence.
- Capacity to work as part of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to Child Safety.
- Willingness to learn, be resilient and agile.
