Food Services Assistant (Cook)
This is a casual position working approx. 15 to 20 hours per week. The usual daily span of hours will be Monday to Friday, ranging from 7am to 4pm. Upon commencement, this position will be required in our College Cafeteria as well as in the Early Learning Centre (Little Beacons). This role is due to commence January 2022.
We work on a flexible roster and your hours can be negotiated with the Food Services Manager. Additional hours will be required for events/functions outside the ordinary hours of employment and may include evenings and/or weekends as necessary.
The position takes direction from and reports to the Food Services Supervisor (Head Chef)
The salary for this position is Level 1 with an hourly rate of $31.77 per hour.

College Cafeteria Food Services
Beaconhills’ Food Services team has been created to deliver the College vision for great food to its canteens, boardrooms, events and outdoor education programs. We are seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and passionate Cook (Food Service Attendant) to join our team and provide support and assistance within the Food Services department.
Little Beacons Food Services
The Early Learning Food Services Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting in planning, preparing and implementing a nutritionally well-balanced menu for children aged six months to five years. The successful candidate will ensure that these responsibilities are undertaken in an effective and efficient way while attending to the children’s preferences, cultural differences and dietary needs. The successful candidate will also assist with the planning and preparation of the Outside School Hours program menu.
You will be responsible for cleaning and tiding the kitchen in line with the standards of a Class 1 Facility.
The Food Services Assistant reports to and takes direction from the Food Services Supervisor, Food Services Manager and the Head of Administration, Little Beacons and is accountable to the Head of Campus and the Headmaster.
This is based at the Berwick Campus however may require travelling to our Pakenham Campus from time to time.
